 I served on the Advisory Committee to the Monroe County Land Authority, resigning in October of 2006.  The Land Authority is responsible for the acquisition of lands for preservation and recreation, affordable housing and providing relief for property owners who complete the ROGO process and are unable to obtain a permit and those whose properties have been downsized.  My service on this committee for the last decade+ has given me a working knowledge of the special needs and problems that face our unique Island Home.
